ROGERS LITTLE THEATER TO HOST
FRISCO FESTIVAL YOUTH TALENT CONTEST

The Rogers Little Theater will host the fifth annual Frisco Festival Youth Talent Contest on Saturday, August 23, 2008--as part of the Main Street Rogers Frisco Festival--at the Victory Theater, 116 South Second, Rogers at 3 p.m.

"Each year, the RLT Frisco Festival Youth Talent Contest showcases the most talented youth between the ages of 8 to 22 in our area," said Ed McClure, organizer of the RLT event.

First, second and third places will be awarded in each of the three age categories: Genesis, Junior and Senior. The winners in each category will perform on the Frisco Festival Main Stage on Saturday evening.

In addition, event organizers have announced the following schedule of events: Monday, August 18, 2008; Tuesday, August 19, 2008; and Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 5:30pm-7pm, Dress Rehearsal for Contestants.

At the close of entries (August 16, 2008), contestants will be assigned a dress rehearsal date via e-mail or telephone.

All contestants should be at the Rogers Little Theater not later than 5:15pm dressed in their performance outfits on their assigned Dress Rehearsal Night. All accompaniment cds should also be brought at this time and will be left at the Rogers Little Theater until Saturday's performance.

ALL CDs SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED. NO MORE THAN ONE TRACK PER CD WILL BE ACCEPTED SO AS TO AVOID PLAYING THE WRONG TRACK. Each contestant will be allowed to practice his or her performance a maximum of two times. Once practiced, the contestant will be free to go.

Saturday, August 23, 2008, Call for all Contestants: Contestants should arrive at the Victory Theater NO LATER than 2 pm on August 23, 2008. Contestants should be dropped off by their parents and enter through the Northwest Stage Door. THE AUDITORIUM WILL BE CLOSED AT THAT TIME AND WILL NOT OPEN FOR PARENTS OR AUDIENCE UNTIL 2:30 PM AND PARENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE THEATER UNTIL THIS TIME AND THROUGH THE FRONT MAIN ENTRANCE.

Contestants should be dressed and ready to perform. There will not be facilities for hair, make-up or dressing. Contestants will remain dressed in performance outfits during the entire talent show. Outside food and drinks will not be permitted backstage before or during the talent show. Water will be provided backstage for contestants. Contestants will remain back stage during the entire talent show. Parents will not be allowed back stage prior to the talent show. There will be RLT personnel backstage to enforce and supervise these rules.
